Story

The story so far

Why these apps exist, in the developer's own words.

TimeCove started with a familiar failure: I'd think of something important while cooking, walking, or mid-task — and by the time my hands were free, the thought was gone. Typing a reminder at that moment never stuck. The friction arrived exactly when it cost the most.

So the first version of TimeCove was selfish: an app where you just say it — in Chinese or English — and trust it to come back on time. Then came the non-negotiables. Speech recognition runs on the device. Reminders are delivered by real alarms. A reminder only leaves the list when you acknowledge it. No ads, no account, nothing that would make you distrust the thing you depend on.

The name is the promise. A cove is a quiet, sheltered bay — 时屿 is the same idea in Chinese: a small island where your time can dock. That's the bar every diyunc app has to clear, and it's why the next one, Margo (墨旁 — "beside the ink"), is taking its time.

Principles

What we won't do

The same four promises on every product page.

Offline-firstCore features run without a network. Your voice never has to leave the device.
Privacy by defaultData stays local unless you opt in. No tracking-first design.
Ad-freeAttention is the product's, not the advertisers'.
No account requiredInstall, use, done. No sign-up walls anywhere.

FAQ

Straight answers

From the developer, not a support script.

Who builds diyunc apps?

diyun — an independent developer. Every app is designed, built, and maintained by the same person, and support goes to the same inbox: support@diyunc.cc.

Does TimeCove work offline?

Yes. Core reminder creation and delivery run fully offline with local speech recognition. Cloud voice and AI parsing are strictly optional.

Do your apps have ads or accounts?

No ads, no required accounts, no tracking-first design. Privacy is the default, not a premium tier.

What's next?

Margo (墨旁), an ink-first notebook, is in development. The journal is the best place to follow progress.
